Reporting on U.S. Midterm Elections from David M. Shribman – Ted Rogers School of Management Dean’s Speaker Series

On November 7th, Hogg, Shain & Scheck sponsored the Dean’s Speaker Series hosting David M. Shribman, a winning journalist and renowned speaker.  This Speaker series was presented by the Ted Rogers School of Management and the Faculty of Communication and Design at Ryerson University.

A few years ago, HSS hosted a client event with David Shirbman prior to the U.S. election.  The topic was “Where Did Donald Trump Come From?” David Shribman is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, he served as a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, wrote for The New York Times and The Washington Star. He is currently an Executive Editor and Vice-President of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and has a biweekly column in The Globe and Mail.

David discussed the results of the U.S. midterm elections and the potential future outcomes for Canada. David also provided guests a first-hand insight into the horrific attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue as what happened is only a few blocks away from his home.

Both students, HSS clients, alumni and interested guests enjoyed a thought-provoking evening and candid perspective of current event in the U.S. TRSM plans to continue the Dean’s Speaker Series with more engaging speakers.
