HSS Shoebox Packing Party
On November 9th, 2018, the Hogg, Shain & Scheck CPAs team hosted its first ever Shoebox Packing Party in support of Operation Christmas Child, a global initiative hosted by the Samaritan’s Purse. By filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies, we were able to participate in touching the lives of children suffering as a result of war, poverty, famine, and disaster. This was a small gift from us to them to remind them that they are loved and not forgotten, especially during the holiday season.
In addition to packing over 55 shoeboxes full of toys and supplies, our team also learned how to make paper cranes in an origami folding session to include in the shoeboxes! The paper cranes, a symbol of hope and healing, as well as handwritten letters, were added in the shoeboxes to give each shoebox a personal touch and the opportunity for our team to express their well wishes in writing.
Thank you to our amazing team for their generosity, both in their donations and taking time out of their busy schedules, to gather together and pack up the boxes. Your generosity will touch at least 55 lives this coming holiday season!
