Hogg, Shain & Scheck Commemorate 40th Year of Business
On February 5th, 2015, the accounting professionals at Hogg, Shain & Scheck celebrated it’s 40th year of business at the Ryerson Mattamy Centre. As the night commenced, guests laced up their skates and had the opportunity to skate at the old Maple Leaf Gardens, which is now the home ice of the Ryerson Rams. The celebration continued as guests gathered in the Alumni Lounge to indulge in the amazing selection of catered foods provided by Ryerson.
During the reception, Ed Scheck, of Hogg, Shain & Scheck spoke about the many accomplishments HSS had experienced over the past four decades. This set the mood for a celebratory night as guests enjoyed a variety of food and drink, caricature artist drawings, and a chance to take in a Ryerson Ram Varsity hockey game. Special guests and speakers of the night included Dr. Steven Murphy, the Dean of Ted Rogers School of Management, a past recipient of the HSS Accounting Scholarship at TRSM, and Ed Scheck one of the founding partners of Hogg, Shain & Scheck. Special recognition was made to Rolex Canada, who has been a client of HSS for 50 years, even before the accounting partnership was formed.
Planned by CityEvents and hosted by Hogg, Shain & Scheck, the firm would like to extend special thanks Neha Thakordas and Deborah Greenfield from the Alumni Office of the Ted Rogers School of Management for their collaboration and for including the Ryerson Alumni.
