Managing for Growth Series – Alternate Financing – New Solutions for Growth
Hogg, Shain & Scheck hosted a well attended panel discussion on Alternate Financing. A number of bankers and small and mid size businesses were in attendance.
Access to capital can be challenging and a number of businesses are looking to grow, invest in new technologies, obtain more working capital or make acquisitions often face hurdles in getting financing from traditional lenders. The panel discussion focused on the evolution of alternate financing solutions available to help SME entrepreneurs achieve their business goals. Some were customized for each client and some were part of an investment fund.
Panelists were comprised from representatives from some of Canada’s leading alternate financing institutions.
- Bobby Anand, Senior Managing Director, Bridging Finance Inc.
- Hassan Khan, CEO, Quantius
- Jeff Mesina, Vice President, AIP Private Capital
At the event we had one of more lively question and answer segments as with the many factors involved in financing guests were looking to clarify some of the requirements for lending. These alternate finance options are just some of the ways businesses can gain the capital they need for operations or growth.
