This year, Ed Scheck passes the torch during the Ryerson Alumni Achievement Award
Created in 1998, Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) Alumni Achievement award recognizes the alumni work during an annual ceremony. At this event, recipients are honoured with a video bio and will have a plaque with a photo and bio mounted on the Alumni Hall of Fame on campus.
Last year, Original Partner Ed Scheck received the TRSM Lifetime Achievement Award, as he graduated from Ryerson University and has known a successful career in the Accounting Business.
Seeing that Ed received this major honour last year, he was very pleased to present this year’s winner with the Alumni Achievement Award: Ron Besse, a graduate from Ryerson in 1960 with a diploma in Business Administration. With an incredible background and extensive experience, he built one of Canada’s largest publishing groups at a time when most publishers were American-owned.
Ryerson is a University that is unique in that it prepares you practically for a successful and professional future. At Ryerson, you’re truly given the skills to be able to reach your goals. “Ryerson gave me the confidence to stand proud and to accept challenges as an opportunity,” said Besse, “I learned to dream.”
